About Choco Estates

Kristen Krash

Tiffany Rose

Both Kristen and Tiffany come from culinary backgrounds and founded Choco Estates, named for the Choco Andino region of Ecuador where their farms can be found - as a way to provide exceptional cacao to hard working chocolate artisans around the world. With on the ground access to not only their own farms, but neighbouring farms growing Nacional cacao it was inevitable that both of these entreprenerial women would create a framework to provide good, well paying jobs for the hard working people in the community neighbouring the farms, as well as produce an un-matched offering of cacao products while regenerating the land they steward.

Kristen and Tiffany met over a decade ago as colleagues in the Yoga industry. They developed a friendship online over shared ethos, and dedication to environmental stewardship. Kristen at the time was living in the United States with her partner Juan when they decided to move to his native country of Ecuador. Tiffany eventually visited Kristen in Ecuador with her husband Robert, both from Canada. Tiffany and Robert now own the neighbouring farm to Kristen and Juan’s and call Ecuador home for half the year.
